Life is full of paradoxes. Like if you want it too bad you won't get it. A watched pot never boils. Little things like that. If I was to describe where I believe the 21st century will take us, I would call it the Quantum Century. Allow me to explain…

Currently our brains can only really hold one truth at a time. A table is either black or white. Something is either right or wrong. Schrodinger, however, was the first person in popular consciousness to push back against this idea with his cat’s quantum superposition experiment. In essence, the cat was described as both dead and alive until one confirmed the state in either direction. Before such a state was confirmed, it would be impossible to know for certain which one it was which lead Schrodinger to conclude that the cat was both alive and dead simultaneously. This concept is referred to as quantum superposition, or in simple parlance, a system’s ability to exist in multiple states simultaneously until it is measured. To be even more clear, humanity’s future is in a constant state of quantum superposition. That is to say, we don’t know what will happen tomorrow until it is measured. Ie, until it happens. So to all the doomers who say America will fall and the West is doomed and humanity will be faced with nuclear fallout I say, that is but one of the states of our system’s superposition. There are many others out there as well.

It is important to remain in a state of superposition in life. Once the system “hasn’t been measured” or the event hasn’t happened, anything is still possible. That is the kind of mentality that historic athletes have, where it doesn’t matter how many goals down we are or how much time is left on the clock. Once the referee hasn’t blown the final whistle there is still a state of superposition in which we win. It might not be this one but its impossible to know until its over. Then it becomes impossible to give up. Impossible to have anything but irrational hope and confidence in the future. Because out of all the superpositions out there, I shall will the one I want into existence.

So just remember. You are in a state of superposition until you die. Until the existence ends, it can be anything. Once its over its over. So stay superposed! &
