So I was up this morning thinking okay I gotta post something. Day 2! gotta be consistent. But I had nothing to say. Now as I was artistically constipated, I could have forced some shit out but instead decided to spare my creative rectum that sore fate. In lieu of the less than ideal alternative, I ate some aesthetic roughage. ie, I lived some life and set about having my day, which leads me to my point for today. Consistency is key but direction is decisive.

Direction before destination

I was talking to Mun about our trajectory, congratulating ourselves for getting this far. And also taking note of the fact that neither of us really explicitly intended to end up here, it just sort of happened naturally as a result of us following our intuition and passions.

Experience is really the life blood of any good art and without it its very difficult to make compelling pieces. This morning I had to have some experience before I felt as though I had something valuable to say and the same is true largely in life. It's a little paradoxical because you have to know the destination before you decide on a direction, but know the direction>destination. Somebody who wants to get better at painting doesn't focus on getting better at painting, they focus on painting everyday. Then once they can do that they focus on a good landscape painting every day. Then maybe they move on to the human figure I dunno the point is the journey is long and if you're focusing on the outcome and having something to show (social media 😒) to prove you're doing what you think you're doing you're probably not doing what you think you're doing.

Oh right before I forget this wayvydayly was inspired by this tweet https://x.com/Ifenimiii/status/1978854664645861755 cus it reinforces what I was talking about yesterday. I also was watching these YouTube videos about Disney who is one of my biggest inspirations but like in a syndrome Mr incredible way but anyway basically cultural production is one of the most important things we have and can do and one of the rare industries it's actually kinda hard to buy the means of production to but by golly they are trying their damndest. Please learn yourself, choose a destination be flexible on the direction and you may end up in a better destination than you intended on initially. Jeff bezos said something like that one time too and while you know I'm not the biggest fan necessarily it's hard to deny what he's accomplished so. Lend your voice to preserving our cultural production! And as always…
