I believe that if people could see ourselves the way God sees us we would live our lives completely differently. Atheism coupled with modern identity politics creates the perfect breeding ground for selfish, indifferent destructive practices that lead nowhere. It is only under these circumstances that we could have the President of the United States chuckle that he doesn't believe he's heaven bound. Flying on Air Force One is as close as he believes he is going to get.

You know when you're a kid and maybe you're watching your first movie? And the hero maybe loses or something dramatic happens and your heart gets caught in your throat. My champion is gonna die! The thought of it is too much to bear. But then. Suddenly. When all hope is lost they unlock some new power. Fulfill some prophet that was hinted at earlier. Ascend to levels previously inconceivable and vanquish the evil doer. You are overcome with elation. Victory at last. But then once you see a few more movies, you are less moved. You know the script, familiar with how the song and dance plays out. Hero suffers, hero struggles, hero learns, hero becomes, hero fights, hero loses faith, hero is overcome, hero recalibrates, big third act finale. Every time. Yet when we see evidence of this in our own lives, somehow we are unsure that the protagonist of our story (us) is gonna beat the bad guy and win the girl.

If you are reading this then I know you've been through something. Maybe something inconceivable. But you made it through. And you're still here. Stronger because of it. And it probably wasn't just one thing. Time after time God shows you the blueprint for triumph. You suffer, you struggle, you learn, you lose, you recalibrate, you recenter, you fight, you overcome. Yet when we're in the suffer or struggle phase how quickly we lose sight of the significance. And of the cycle. When we overcome and are in euphoria we assume that it will always be this way. Unfortunately, it won't.

Sometimes we have to zoom out a little. We can get so caught up in the minutia of how we feel or who we are or what we want that we forget the bigger picture. We're here for a blip. We're on a rock flying through an ether we can barely even begin to understand. Ok maybe that's a little too zoomed out. There's 8 billion people on the planet. Each as complex as you with dreams and aspirations and specifities and whatever else you can imagine. And we are here to serve each other. To learn from each other. To love each other. Why does like every single animal love to be pet??? And why do we love petting??? I'll tell you why damnit it's because love is the currency of the universe. Love is the only thing that anything from anywhere can understand. And something or sometime out there loves you. If you don't believe in a God or your parents don't love you then know that I do. No you don't, I hear you say, you don't know what I've done you don't know how evil I am. And what if I were to say that it didn't matter? That there was nothing that you could ever say or do to me to make me stop loving you. What then?

Often times we can think they we are undeserving of love. Or not receiving the kind of love we want. Or not enough. And if you ever find yourself in that situation, I ask you to make something. Use your hands to create something. Anything. But it has to be earnest and it has to be physical. So no renders or digital drawings. Pour your heart into something. And when you do, look upon it. And observe how you feel. If you feel proud, joy, love, protective and peace? Then that is how whatever made you feels when It gazes upon you. So remember that feeling. And as always
